KES Designs is a small business dedicated to creating original handbags and personal accessories. Our mission is to create stylish and functional products.

Handmade style for today’s fashion
KES Designs work emphasizes quality materials, customization, and designs that are influenced by today’s fashion. Due to the artisan nature of the business, the bags are created in limited editions, and frequently are one of a kind, featuring hand cut cowhide crosses and with the finest swarovski crystals.

Our Process
Our small team of skilled artisans puts special care into each of our products. We make every item by hand in our Design Center, which doubles as our flagship retail store. Because we specialize in custom handbags, we stitch each piece to order, adding pockets, embellishments and special touches such as personalization, cowhide additives and the finest swarovski crystals. When you visit the internet, you'll be able to choose a bag from our selection readymade samples. Or you can work with one of our stylists to create your own KES original. The process is easy: first you choose a shape from our wide array of styles. Then we'll guide you as you select each material, pocket arrangement, and embellishment. Because we make most items to order, our lead time is generally 2-4 weeks depending on our production schedule and the season. If you are in a rush for that special present, we suggest giving a gift card for a custom design, redeemable on our website or in our shop.
We've created this website so that you can shop in your pajamas in the middle of the night. If you have questions about our online options, please don't hesitate to call or email us with questions. While we are a very small business without phone operators, we pride ourselves on our personalized service.

The Design Center
In summer May of 2006, KES Designs moved to the new tanning salon location to give its customers the ability to design there own accessories and beautiful rooms. By the summer of 2008, KES Designs outgrew its studio in the tanning salon location. Then we moved all our supplies and sewing machines to a location located on Kelly’s property, so we could advance our design to the internet. We painted, caulked, scrubbed and what else that was needed to get the new location presentable.  We sold the tanning salon business so we could focus on KES designs products. Since then, we've been completing several orders from custom bedding, drapes, diaper bags and designing five new products.

How we started
Designer, Kelly Smith is the sole owner, designer and purveyor of KES Designs. I started this little adventure almost on a whim. It all started with a Halloween Costume for my son. Sewing has been in the family for years. It took me becoming a mom to realize how much I loved sewing. Inspired by fun fabrics, soft textures and cute kids, I enjoy creating things that put a smile on people's faces. Blessed with two amazing boys, I love to make cute, unique, and durable boy things. With a strong desire for a daughter, I love to make wonderfully fun girly things. My heart's desire is for you to make many precious memories cuddling your little ones with our blankets and that their blankee will become a cherished keepsake. They grow up way too fast, but the memories last forever.

Received the wrong item? If what you received is not what you ordered, we will send you the correct products, or we can issue you a refund when you return the incorrect item. We will incur any additional shipping costs.

Received a defective item? We will repair the item and/or replace it promptly. We will incur any additional shipping costs.

Shipping
We ship to all United States addresses, as well as Canada and Europe. Because we know how fun it can be to open a package, we carefully wrap each order with colorful tissue and a few sweet surprises.
In addition to shipping web orders, we ship orders that are placed in our store. Bring your out-of-town guests in to order a custom bag, and we'll send their custom order to them once it complete.

Please note: Non-domestic orders may be subject to customs rates that will be charged by your home customs office.

United States Priority Mail
We'll ship your order once it is complete. Send your items to you or a gift recipient. Priority Mail is reliable and fast. Normal lead times apply (2-4 weeks).

Customer guarantee All KES Designs products are guaranteed to be free of defects. Some fabrics have natural variations which are an integral part of the texture. Such variations are not considered to be defects.
